Artwork Specifications

Preparing and submitting your advertisement

When preparing your advert please note you MUST follow these specifications:

Materials requirements

Please ensure you provide artwork with the correct extensions and in Mac format.

  • High resolution press quality PDFs are the preferred format. Low resolution or small file size PDFs are not accepted.
  • All images supplied for editorial must be a minimum file size of 500kb or as large as possible.
  • All fonts must be converted to outlines prior to creating the PDF. No True Type fonts.
  • Macintosh compatible InDesign (CS), Illustrator (CS), Photoshop (CS), with CMYK colours only (not RGB) can be accepted, with all linked eps/tiff included in CMYK format, at a minimum resolution of 300dpi.
  • No Pagemaker, Publisher, Word or Powerpoint files accepted for display advertising.
  • Material supplied (e.g. photographs) will not be returned, unless supplied with a stamped self addressed envelope.
  • Copy for editorial is required electronically and must be provided as a word document - file type .doc (.docx files are not accepted). Email to: info@redstudio.com.au.
  • Digital photos to be supplied separately. Do not embed photos or logos within a word document.
  • If advertising material is supplied incorrectly it will be subject to a production charge, quoted separately and payable to Red Studio Graphic Design.
  • If you require design/prepress services for your advertising material, this can be provided at an additional fee by Red Studio Graphic Design 1300 552 530 or Little Red Shoe Graphic Design 0402 056 395. Please call for more details.
  • Your advertisement must be supplied in the correct size, shape and orientation of your booked advertisement space. If not it will be returned to you for correction or an additional fee will be charged for the correction to be made.

Naming your files
Please name your files so that it can be easily identified: Your name/business name-advert-edition
For example: SarahSmith/Smith Consulting-advert-May-June10.pdf

Sending your advert
You can send your file via email if it is less than 5 MB in size. If your advert file is bigger than 5 MB in size, then please DO NOT send it to us by email attachment.

Put it on a disk, clearly labeled, with a covering letter, and mail it to:
